go back

The Sunday after Thanksgiving I decided I needed to get out of the house and go take some pictures. I didn't have a particular subject in mind, so I headed down to Magnusson Park - the former Sand Point Naval Air Station.

The former air base has been converted to a multiple-use community center/park. Building 27 is a huge old hangar now used for rummage sales and various other events. Tracks for the rolling doors The south end of the building Fire hydrant covered with a hazardous waste bag...? The sliding door tracks viewed from the north. Pretty sure these doors don't slide any more. Electrical control box on the north side of the building A sailing club keeps its boats next to the building. This boat trailer was parked outside the boat enclosure. Fire alarm controls on a nearby building
